The flutes run the length of the cutter for efficient chip clearance, increasing drilling productivity and decreasing cutter breakage. These cutters can drill holes 3 times faster than twist drills, producing reamed-quality burr-free holes and solid slugs. The use of these cutters can reduce the size and weight of the machine, and the cutting edges are resharpenable. They eliminate the need for time-consuming, costly pilot holes and step drilling, as every annular cutter up to 4" depth comes with a corresponding pilot pin included.
